An open invitation to players who have beennamed in the top ten of any other division in the past two yearsis also extended. If you are not on this invitation list andwould like to participate, you may call and ask to be placed onthe alternate list. Entry fee is $50 with prizes awarded to thefirst six places. Auction is at 11:30 a.m.with games startingimmediately.The Invitational is part of a three-day, three-eventtournament. On Friday, there will be a draw partner event, $10per person entry fee. Auction starts at 7 p.m. And on Sunday, amixed doubles is on the agenda, $25 per team entry fee withthe auction at 1 p.m.All games are 15 points, straight, single game, doubleelimination. Eight new Playfairboards will be set up in a huge ballroom with plenty of seatingfor spectators.Three events are on the schedule: open doubles, $200per team; open singles, $100 per player, and women's singles,$50 per player. The auction for all events will be at 7 p.m. onthe 16th. All events are 2 of 3, double elimination.If you are not a resident, you must register at theHoward Johnson Plaza to participate in the tournament.
