He wasthe editor of the journal ‘Drisyathalam,’ which introduced the language ofcritical film studies to Malayalam readers. His first production venture wasa television series on Kathakali music for the national television in 1997. Hisearlier films include the short fiction Agni (2003), feature documentaries16MM- Memories Movement and a Machine (2007) and A Pestering Journey(2010). His films have been appreciated in India and across the globe. APestering Journey won the award for the Best Documentary in the 58thAnnual National Awards. Virgin Talkies is his first fiction feature.
