The dance given at the Bank hall by Larsen and Harris was well attended. Supper was served at Mrs. Lizzie M. Hall'slunchrooms.Mabel and Lizzie Helm came down from Elsinore to attend the dance.After spending a very pleasant time at Los Angeles visiting her parents Mrs. Ruth Keyes and daughter, Mariereturned the first of the week and is again at her work.October 6, <strong>1916</strong>Mark Robertson of Aguanga was in town Friday. Mr. Robertson has been hauling freight to Oak Grove.Mrs. John Sanders was a first of the week visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Camacho.Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Freeman made a business trip to Riverside the last of the week returning the next day.Mrs. Esther Banks is again attending the Riverside Business College.Mr. James Rawson will teach at the little <strong>Temecula</strong> School this coming term. This school will be one month late inbeginning the term because Mr.. Martin who was supposed to teach did not or could not come.Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kurtz of Garden Grove arrived the first of the week and are stopping at the Pauba Ranch, with Mrs.Kurtz's brother, Paul Clark, beet king.Mr. John Z. Barnett is this week visiting his brother, Eli E. Barnett and family.Mrs. C. Wulst of Rainbow is visiting Mrs. William W. Allen.Mrs. Carl Swanguen has just returned from Los Angeles where for three weeks she was visiting relatives and friends.Messrs.. Ferrell Freeman and Albert Banks returned yesterday from a deer hunt trip. Mr. Freeman killed a fine bigbuck.Mr. and Mrs. Albert Banks and family motored to Escondido Sunday.Mrs. J. C. Rodriguez left Sunday for her home at Escondido. Mrs. Rodriguez has been visiting her parents Mr. andMrs. Albert Banks for the past two weeks.J. E. Freeman left the last of the week for El Centro, Imperial County. Mrs. Freeman was here looking after somevery important business interests.Last week Sunday Harry Walters met with an accident. On his way home about a mile or two out of Murrieta, he metanother machine, they both failed to turn out far enough, and the consequences were that both machines cametogether and were wrecked. Harry's machine was upset and badly damaged and so was the other but nobody hurt.Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Albert Golsh left for Pala to attend the funeral of their stepfather who passed to eternity at theadvanced age of 70 years.William W. Allen, who for the past three weeks has been working on the county road at Riverside, returned home thelast of the week.Mr. and Mrs. T. Pa, of San Jacinto, were weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. John Magee and family.Congressman William Kettner, of San Diego and candidate for re-election was in town the last of the week.25
