The first part of the week Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kurtz motored to Garden Grove, where they will spend a month'svacation before returning to the Pauba Ranch.Frank Tripp of Aguanga was in town one day this week on business.Charles Carstenson returned from Los Angeles Tuesday driving a new Maxwell.Mahlon Vail went to Los Angeles to visit his parents and also to transact business.Mrs. D. J. Tortuga and children have returned home after a week's stay with her parents.Tommy Rawson, bee man from Auld, was in town on business Tuesday.Mr. and Mrs. Machado spent Sunday at San Jacinto and Hemet.A large number of the young folks from here attended the dance given at Murrieta Saturday night.John B. Kelly has pulled down his old honey house and is building a new one nearer his bees.A dance will be given at the Bank Hall, Saturday night, April 22. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.April 28, <strong>1916</strong>The dance given at Bank hall last Saturday night was well attended, many coming from Murrieta and the surroundingcountry. Good music was furnished by Albert Golsh and Clinton Tripp from Aguanga. Supper was served at Mrs.Lizzie M. Hall's restaurant.Miss Esther Banks returned home from Riverside where she had been attending school.A very interesting program was rendered by the children on Easter; the church was beautifully decorated for theoccasion and was packed with Easter observers. In the mean time Easter eggs were hidden on one of the vacantlots and after service the children were told to look for the eggs and the one who found the most would get an Easterbasket. Arthur Escallier, Marie Keyes and Luis Escallier won the prizes.Juan Menenes and family from the Calabaias Ranch are visiting Felix Cazas and family.John E. Roripaugh, George Friedemann and Adrian B. Barnett motored to Fallbrook the other day on businessconnected with the Masonic order.Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Beatty of Perris have moved to town.Mr. and Mrs. Friedemann motored to Riverside to visit Mrs. Swanguen, Mrs. Friedemann's mother, returning Sundayevening.Mrs. Antonio R. Ashman and children were weekend visitors of Mrs. D. J. Tortuga.For the past week two auto trucks have been hauling oranges from the Red Mountain Ranch to <strong>Temecula</strong> forshipment.Robert J. Magee, John Benson, Pete Matson and Jemason arrived from Perris the first of the week. They havefinished their contract of block cutting for the Oswall Bros. of Los Angeles.Antonio Dorame left Monday for San Clemente Island, where he has a contract to shear about twenty thousandsheep. For the past week he has been engaging sheep shearers.6
