Purpose of Training
This course is provides an understanding of the
hazards inherent in carbon monoxide generation,
testing procedures, an overview of combustion
analysis and the relation of building pressures to
carbon monoxide generation.
When installing new equipment and servicing
existing systems, it is important to make sure the
systems are operating within the measurable
requirements of the equipment manufacturer and
local code. Proper installation of combustion
systems and thorough inspections can reduce loss
of life, illness related to combustion by-products,
property damage, liability and help reinforce
confidence in consumers. Persons installing or
servicing combustion equipment must possess a
solid understanding of the causes and effects of
CO.
