P R O D U C T I N F O R M A T I O NData Acquisition UnitDAU 2100The Data Acquisition Unit(DAU 2100) is a local readout/connection unit for use with theSaab TankRadar Rex tank gaugingsystem. The DAU 2100 is used forconnection of temperature sensors,when more inputs/outputsare required than is avaliable inthe Rex Gauge. Its rugged designwithstands many years of outdooruse under harsh environmentalconditions.Connection optionsA Multiple Spot Thermometer (MST)with up to 14 temperature elementscan be connected to the DAU. TheDAU is powered from, and communicatesthrough the Rex Gauge to whichit is connected. The DAU is intrinsicallysafe using zener barriers on the TransmitterInterface Card (TIC) in the RexGauge. The weatherproof box housesa printed circuit board with a cableterminal for connection of the temperaturesensors, as well as the powerand communication cable to the RexGauge. Cable inlet glands are locatedat the bottom of the box.Local ReadoutThe DAU can be equipped with aReadout Display showing level, temperatureand other measured values.With the DAU placed at the foot ofthe tank, these values can be viewedwithout having to climb to the tanktop.
