<strong>EU</strong> <strong>GCC</strong> <strong>INVEST</strong><strong>AUTOMOTIVE</strong> <strong>CONFERENCE</strong>DRAFT<strong>Riyadh</strong>17 th – 18 th of November 20139.00 AM – 1.00 PMMarriott Hotel Najd Ballroom; Al Ma’atherStreet (TBC)Promotion of Mutual investment opportunities and creation of a virtual European structure inthe <strong>GCC</strong><strong>EU</strong> <strong>GCC</strong> Invest is a joint project initiated and co-funded by the European Union, Eurochambres, theGerman Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK UAE), the Delegation of GermanIndustry and Commerce in Saudi Arabia and Yemen (AHK Saudi Arabia) and the Federation of <strong>GCC</strong>Chambers (F<strong>GCC</strong>C).The aim of <strong>EU</strong> <strong>GCC</strong> Invest is to promote understanding and debate about <strong>EU</strong>-<strong>GCC</strong> relations, as wellas to promote public awareness and understanding of the <strong>EU</strong> among <strong>GCC</strong> citizens.It aims to achieve this via the promotion of mutual investment opportunities and the initiation of aconstructive investment dialogue.Commencing in 2012, <strong>EU</strong><strong>GCC</strong> Invest has conducted a survey of European and <strong>GCC</strong> Investors, whohave, or were in the process of making foreign direct investments into the <strong>GCC</strong> or the <strong>EU</strong> memberstates. Through various interviews and statistical research, <strong>EU</strong><strong>GCC</strong> Invest has sought to increase theunderstanding of the investment climate between the two regions and suggest possiblerecommendations for further cooperation.<strong>EU</strong> <strong>GCC</strong> Invest now seeks to bring representatives of the European Automotive Industry togetherduring a two day automotive conference in <strong>Riyadh</strong>. Besides providing a platform for establishing newconnections, this event aims to promote further cooperation.
