Network Deployment and ConfigurationAs discussed earlier, the IRM Server is a service and the clients are plug-ins. Generally speaking, there are nosettings in the IRM software that specifically relate to load balancing or High Availability (HA). Supportingmultiple IRM servers is done by DNS, other hardware and basic networking. The IRM Server uses TCP for theconnection between the server and external entities, such as SMTP, LDAP and ODBC. A single host can havemultiple instances of the IRM Server.The IRM products support a completely virtualized infrastructure.
