VSPEX CONSOLE AND LOGOGUIDELINESThe following information will assist you in ordering a VSPEX <strong>console</strong> from <strong>EMC</strong> orvia an approved 3rd Party Vendor. In addition, Partners wishing to add their <strong>logo</strong> tothe VSPEX <strong>console</strong> can use this document to identify where to order their <strong>logo</strong> inBrushed Stainless Steel or comparable metal, what the dimensions should be, <strong>and</strong>how to align <strong>and</strong> place it on the VSPEX <strong>console</strong> or 3rd Party Cabinet.
ORDERING A VSPEX ILLUMINATED CONSOLE FROM <strong>EMC</strong>The VSPEX <strong>console</strong> is designed to fit on an <strong>EMC</strong> 503 Titan Rack D cabinet (40U) or P<strong>and</strong>uit N-Series Cabinet. This type of <strong>EMC</strong>cabinet is preconfigured to accept <strong>EMC</strong> <strong>console</strong>s <strong>and</strong> is therefore easily affixed to the rack on the preinstalled <strong>console</strong> hinges.VSPEX Consoles are orderable in <strong>EMC</strong>’s Channel Express Online system in the Spare Parts Store. Begin by opening a browser to<strong>EMC</strong>'s Channel Xpress website [ https://crm.emc.com/OA_HTML/emc_ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=11173 ] . Once you havelogged in from the "Please select your site" drop down choose the <strong>EMC</strong> Spare Models for your location. In the resulting page clickthe link for VSPEX in the left navigation bar, <strong>and</strong> then select Hardware <strong>and</strong> then choose the VSPEX Console to add it to your cart. Ifyou require more than one <strong>console</strong> simply update your cart with the desired quantity.ORDERING A PARTNER LOGO<strong>EMC</strong> allows VSPEX partners the opportunity to place their <strong>logo</strong> on their VSPEX <strong>console</strong>. The <strong>logo</strong>sshould be brushed stainless steel or a comparable metal. Our preferred <strong>logo</strong> manufacturer, LaFrance Corporation, has been provided with the VSPEX <strong>console</strong> sizing specification, <strong>and</strong> willguide you through the process of having your <strong>logo</strong> manufactured for use on the VSPEX <strong>console</strong>.LaFrance Corporation is located at One LaFrance Way, Concordville, PA 19331 USA.As a partner seeking a <strong>logo</strong>, contact LaFrance using the information below. Explain that you area VSPEX partner <strong>and</strong> interested in having your <strong>logo</strong> manufactured. LaFrance will request thatyou provide them via email an Adobe illustrator version of your <strong>logo</strong>. LaFrance will discuss theprocess with you including any modifications of the <strong>logo</strong> that may be required, the details of howlong the manufacturing will take, <strong>and</strong> when to expect your order. LaFrance will also discuss price<strong>and</strong> quantity as well. Depending on the <strong>logo</strong> type, you may require a proof of the <strong>logo</strong> in whichcase LaFrance will work with you to accommodate your specific needs. LOGO SIZING AND PLACEMENT ON AN <strong>EMC</strong> ILLUMINATED CONSOLEOnly One Partner <strong>logo</strong> can be placed on the <strong>console</strong>.The top of the partner <strong>logo</strong> should be placed 1 inch (25.40 mm) below the bottom of the white light bar as shown at "A"on the graphic below.The width of the partner <strong>logo</strong> cannot exceed the width of the <strong>EMC</strong> <strong>logo</strong>.The <strong>EMC</strong> <strong>logo</strong> on the rack <strong>console</strong> is 4.14 inches (105.00 mm) wide not including the “2” as shown at “B” on the graphicbelow.While no maximum height for the partner <strong>logo</strong> is explicitly stated, it is expected that the maximum height of the partner<strong>logo</strong> will be dictated by the partner <strong>logo</strong>'s aspect ratio.The dotted line areas below are where the Partner’s <strong>logo</strong> should be placed.
