INSURANCE
All our Penichettes & Europas are covered for all accidental
damage (i.e. collision with another boat, buildings…) suffered
by our boat, dinghy or to a third party by the use of the
boat. However, the captain may still also be financially liable
for additional penalties if he has broken navigation rules or
wilfully caused an accident. Passengers on board the
boat, their personal effects and their public liability are
not covered by this insurance.
Exclusions from the guarantees
of insurance
(See the section ‘insurances’ in the general Locaboat
terms & conditions)
Not included in the boat insurance:
➲ The people present on board, their personal effects, as well
as their civil responsibility;
➲ Accidental damages onboard (eq.: burnt work surface,
furniture, torn curtains, loss of the gangway, etc.)
➲ The deterioration, break or loss of small equipment
and/or the boat’s equipment (inventory) not declared
as an accident;
➲ The hired bicycles
➲ Damages to railing, outside seats, Bimini or umbrellas
resulting from a collision with a bridge, tree or bank…
➲ Running aground
Always excluded from the assurance guarantees (and
remaining the exclusive responsibility of the Captain)
the damage, losses, recourse and resultant costs of
serious breaches such as:
Driven in a drunken condition or under the effect of drugs,
or also of substances affecting the consciousness or the
capacity to react.
Deliberate breach to the navigation rules.
Misleading Declaration.
BEFORE THE DEPARTURE
Damage deposit or buyback of
damage waiver
You will choose on the day of your departure, between the
deposit of guarantee or the guarantee buyback. The guarantee
must be deposited:
France: By bank card (Visa, MasterCard or EC-Karte*),
cheque for a French bank account (in Euro).
Germany: By bank card (Visa, MasterCard or EC-Karte).
Holland: By bank card (Visa, MasterCard or EC-Karte).
Ireland: By bank card (Visa, MasterCard or EC-Karte).
Italy: By bank card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or
EC-Karte).
Poland: By bank card (Visa or MasterCard)
* Except on the Bases of Chenillé-Changé, Chateauneuf and La Suze.
Damage deposit
The damage deposit guarantees the amount payable by the
captain in case of:
➲ Loss or breakage of equipments on the boat (inventory),
bad maintenance and non accidental damages to the boat.
➲ Abandonment of the boat during the cruise by the client or
the late return of the boat.
➲ Damage.
Damage Waiver
➲ Exemption from the damage deposit,,
➲ Exemption from the expenses of repair in case of damage,
except in case of exclusion of the guarantees of assurance
(see over and our general conditions of sale).
➲ But no exemption from the payment of the losses and
breakage or expenses incurred by the abandonment of the
vessel (see the two first points of the paragraph guarantee).
➲ The damage waiver does not exempt from the payment of
the advance on fuel.
Our advice: The damage waiver is included in the
‘all inclusive’ package
