We hope that nowthe water will be closer in the dry season sowe don’t have to move so far. It has also beenplanted with fish, so some youth might beable to make money from catching fish.This picture shows the LC1 with some of theresearch team members. He was reluctantto let us into his place, so we tooka snap together and became friends.He then gave us permission.That youth on his bicycle goes to Iriiri andbuys fresh cassava and then rides toMatany and sells it. He works as part of a group.He travels about 20km one way. Along thathighway there are warriors from Nakapiripirit.They come and take bicycles and cassava andtake the person and bicycle to the bush. Theymight kill the person and take the bike and cassavato sell. They sell the bicycles in Amudatand exchange them for donkeys.28
