8. Reinstall the lower radiator hose andtransmission cooler lines. These are difficultto install once the shroud is in place.washers leaving them a little loose foradjustment. (Pics 38-39)DANCHUK’s NEW METALFAN SHROUDSFAN SHROUD INSTALL#166251955-57 V8 in 6 Cyl. Core Support9. Slide the fan shroud into place betweenthe brackets and the old installation point forthe radiator on the engine side of the coresupport. If you have previously installedour #11236 conversion brackets you willfirst need to remove the bolts holding thebrackets to the core support with your 3/8"ratchet and 1/2" socket. Install the fanassembly on the water pump. Make surethat the fan blades are half way in and halfway out of the fan shroud opening. If thisis not the case you will have to refigurethe length of the spacer you are using toget proper alignment. You may have tomove the shroud a little to get the fan inplace, take your time so you don’t damageanything. (Pics 36-37)11. Align everything so it is even and inplace and tighten the 6 radiator mountingbolts with your 3/8" ratchet and 1/2" socket.Take care not to over tighten, you don’twant to strip out the holes in the shroud.(Pics 40-41)12. Reinstall the upper radiator hose andthe hood latch bracket and support if youremoved them after step 3.#166261955-57 V8 in Stock Position13. Check to make sure all your bolts andhose clamps are tight, refill the radiatorwith coolant and start the engine to checkfor leaks.
