Round 1, Threats• Political <strong>in</strong>stability is primary concern.• The sudden changes <strong>in</strong> political agendas pose aserious threat to implementation <strong>of</strong> a PHstrategy caus<strong>in</strong>g delays <strong>in</strong> establish<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> SPH.• Lack <strong>of</strong> public support and communitycollaboration which is not sensible yet.• Compet<strong>in</strong>g and conflict<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>terests <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>different political groups pose an additionalthreat.


Round 2, Strengths• Albanian PH Human Capacity Build<strong>in</strong>g is grow<strong>in</strong>g up.• Faculty <strong>of</strong> Medic<strong>in</strong>e at UT is very focused on PH.• Some specialists tra<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternational schools.• Post graduated students are generated .• Our tradition <strong>in</strong> management <strong>in</strong> communicable diseases,immunization and sanitary control.• PH <strong>in</strong>frastructure is created.• Forum <strong>of</strong> PH is established <strong>in</strong> Albania s<strong>in</strong>ce May 2005• There is a core group <strong>of</strong> PH specialists who providequality <strong>in</strong>put <strong>in</strong>to SPH.• Technical literature is available.
