In <strong>the</strong> Name <strong>of</strong> Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful(18)Barsisa <strong>the</strong> Worshipper(The Renegade)Allah <strong>the</strong> Almighty says in His Glorious <strong>Qur</strong>'an:{(Their allies deceived <strong>the</strong>m) like Shaitan (Satan), when he says toman: "Disbelieve in Allah." But when (man) disbelieves in Allah,Shaitan (Satan) says: "I am free <strong>of</strong> you, I fear Allah, <strong>the</strong> Lord <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>`Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists)!" So <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> both will bethat <strong>the</strong>y will be in <strong>the</strong> Fire, abiding <strong>the</strong>rein. Such is <strong>the</strong> recompense <strong>of</strong><strong>the</strong> Zalimun (i.e. poly<strong>the</strong>ists, wrongdoers, disbelievers in Allah and inHis Oneness)}. (Al-Hashr, 16, 17)Ibn J arir said that 'Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud interpreted <strong>the</strong> <strong>Qur</strong>'anic Versethat reads: {(Their allies deceived <strong>the</strong>m) like Shaitan (Satan), when hesays to man: "Disbelieve in Allah." But when (man) disbelieves in Allah,Shaitan (Satan) says: "Iam free <strong>of</strong> you, I fear Allah, <strong>the</strong> Lord <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 'Alamin (mankind, jinn andall that exists)!" So <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> both will be that <strong>the</strong>y will be in <strong>the</strong> Fire,abiding <strong>the</strong>rein. She had four bro<strong>the</strong>rs. She (for somereason) used to spend <strong>the</strong> night at a monk's cell. The monk committed adulterywith her and she got pregnant. Satan came to him and said: Kill <strong>the</strong> woman and<strong>the</strong>n bury her for you are a reputable and highly respected man (i.e. don't riskyour own reputation for such a simple woman). The monk killed her and <strong>the</strong>nburied her. Thereupon, Satan visited her four bro<strong>the</strong>rs in a dream while <strong>the</strong>ywere asleep and said to <strong>the</strong>m: <strong>the</strong> monk committed adultery with your sister,and because she got pregnant, he killed her and buried her in such-and-suchlocation. In <strong>the</strong> morning, one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m said: "By Allah! Last night I dreamt <strong>of</strong>something and I do not know whe<strong>the</strong>r to relate it to you or just keep it tomyself?" They said: Relate it to us. He did so and one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m said: By Allah! Isaw <strong>the</strong> same dream. Ano<strong>the</strong>r said <strong>the</strong> same. And <strong>the</strong> fourth one said <strong>the</strong> samething. They agreed on that <strong>the</strong>re must be something serious about that dream.www.islambasics.com
