XI. FINANCE5169 Financial period1. The financial period of FIFA shall be four years and shall begin on each 1January in the year following the final competition of the FIFA World Cup.2. The revenue and expenditure of FIFA shall be managed so that theybalance out over the financial period. FIFA’s major duties in the future shall beguaranteed through the creation of reserves.3. The Secretary General is responsible for drawing up the annual consolidatedaccounts of FIFA with its subsidiaries as at 31 December.70 AuditorsThe auditors shall audit the accounts approved by the Finance Committee andpresent a report to the Congress. The auditors shall be appointed for a periodof four years. This mandate may be renewed.71 Membership subscriptions1. Membership subscriptions are due on 1 January of each year. The annualsubscription for new Members for the year in question shall be paid within 30days of the close of the Congress at which they were admitted.2. The Congress shall fix the amount of the annual subscription every fouryears on the recommendation of the Executive Committee. It shall be the samefor every Member and amount to no more than USD 1,000.
