The headis designed on powerful lines. In addition tomaintaining irs normal output continuously il canoperate under very heavy conditions of overload. The motor is capable of outputs up [0 8.5 h.p.The Router SpindleThe spindle is nickel chrome. mounted in highspeW precision ball bearings. A patented system ofoil mist lubrication to the spindle bearings ensureslong bearing life. The cutters arc secured by acollet drawn up by a draw bolt passing through thecentre of the spindle. A lock is fitted on the cutterspindle, also a quick acting brake.Head MovementsThe head has a vertical movement of 4- on widevee shaped slideways. The movement is actuatedby handle and a spring plunger is provided forholding the head in the required top and bottompositions. The plunger has a fine screw verticaladjustment to locate the cutter at the corr~theight rclati\'e to the jig. An adjustable depthstop is also pro\'ided on the head for use whencutting small panel lightening holes. wherepositive plunger location is nOl necessary.Altltou8h the RmJial Arm Router is UUTltially acutti~ our machine lor flat sheets, several othn- applicationshave bun dnnlopuJ. It carries two hardenedsteel rods along its entire length which form theslides. The arm moves on four ball bearingrollers. three of which are adjustable. mountedin the swivelling main frame.www.wadkin.comThe Swivel FrameThe swivel frame is mounted on a vertical pillaron ball bearings to obtain an effortless swingingmo\'emenl. The frame swivels through 350degrees so that the router head can be used overtables at both the front and the rear of themachine.
