Have sufficient knowledge of the basic principles of ultrasound,CT, MRI and radionuclide imaging to be able to understand thenature of the radiation/electromagnetic/ sounds waves used inthese techniques and to understand in outline the performanceof imaging equipment as well as the means by which therelevant images are created.6. Know sufficient basic radiography to demonstrate anunderstanding of the standard radiographic projections relatingto the regions outlined in the radiological anatomy syllabus, andto be able to give practical advice on improving the quality of theimage obtained.7. Have a knowledge of the techniques, including the materials(e.g. contrast agents, drugs) and equipment (e.g. catheters,needles) used in those techniques which a candidate isexpected to have carried out personally and on his/her ownduring the first 6 months of training in Radiology.
