The desirefor peace domestically represents a strong brake on imperial politics.Neoliberal policies have met increasingly strong resistance in recentyears. The example of Latin America can be instructive and strengthened.However, this will not occur automatically. The defensive phaseof the left in Europe has still not been overcome. However, the consciousnessthat it will be a catastrophe (Walter Benjamin) if it continuesthis way has become general. This is a chance to be seized.Many elements of this newsolidarity development haveemerged in the existing societydominated by capital.
