CertificationThe American University inDubai is an Autodesk ® AuthorizedCertification Center forAutoCAD ® , AutoCAD ® Civil 3D,3D Studio MAX, Inventor, RevitArchitecture, and Maya ® software.FacilitiesThe School of Architecture, Art, and Design recognizesthat computers have become an integral part ofeducation, communication, and social networking.The Department of Interior Designmaintains several well-equippedand advanced computer labs andlounges. Hardware is updated orupgraded on annual basis and ispowerful enough to handle intensecomputational processes from2D graphics, 3D modeling andrendering to 4D animations andwalkthroughs. Software versionsare also kept up to date annually.Wi-Fi access to the Internetand the School network isavailable throughout campus.Scanning, projectors, printingand large format plottingare all available in-house.A dedicated knowledgeable ITServices team helps keep allcomputing resources runningsmoothly and also helps withtroubleshooting personal laptops.A dedicated model and furnituremakingworkshop is also availableon campus. A recently set upDesign Center serves to engagefaculty and students in researchand outreach to the InteriorDesign community at large.
