We are going to start up again onSunday, April 14 and meet every second weekfor the first couple of months and then move toweekly walks in June. Meeting time is 9:30 amand everyone is given a 5 minute grace period.After the walk, we usually find a local bistro tohave coffee and treats. Gotowards Vancouver International Airport and get onto GrantMcConachie Way. Follow Grant McConachie Way westward toTempleton Street and then turn right (north) onto TempletonStreet. Follow Templeton Street as it turns left (west) andbecomes Ferguson Road. Follow Ferguson Road westward tothe end; it goes directly to Iona Beach Regional Park.Sunday, April 28, 2013Blackie Spit Park in Crescent Beach: Blackie Spit is one ofthe best bird watching areas in Canada with almost 200 speciesof birds recorded in a calendar year. The park is managed as awildlife conservation area and habitat enhancement activitiesare ongoing throughout the park. We will meet at the firstparking lot on McBride Avenue in Crescent Beach.Sunday, May 5, 2013Stanley Park Seawall: What more needs to be said! We willmeet at the Second Beach concession stand and decide fromthere what route we want to take.Sunday, May 19, 2013Lost Lake, Whistler: Come on up to the cabin and enjoy theclosing weekend for Blackcomb on Saturday and go for a walkon Sunday.
