1.Demand for communication satellitesMobile communication with handy terminals are indispensable in adaily life, and recently, 3-dimensional high definition TV with somuch presence that we have the illusion commerce to service insatellite broadcasting.On the other hand, important role of satellite communication wasrecognized as one and only solution in a disaster relief of Tohoku.We foreseen that future satellite communication will expand followingthree axis such as 1 High mobility, 2 High throughput, 3 Flexibility.Evolutional technologies are required for those demands.Under those background, this presentation introduces the NEC spaceactivities for telecommunication satellite system.Page 4© NEC Corporation 2010
