The so-called small blackboards can note with offers and requests of all kinds are suspended. There
'matchmaking'.
2.1.5 social housing
To refer to social housing, you have a Sozialwohnberechtigungs licence. This is to get students no
problem - the income limits are usually not relevant. This can be a social housing advertised - but is
living permission slip for a long (usually long waiting times) housing: there are far too many
apartment seekers, including for social housing. In addition, mostly rented apartments only whole,
not individual rooms. Those who still try, you should bring the following:

Identity card with Heidelberg address (strangely enough, you have to
already reported to police in HD). For foreigners course
Passport with a residence permit
valid student ID
BAföG decision, if any
by the student work. The older houses have single rooms with traditional floor-showers and
kitchens, mainly the newer 2-room apartments or residential groups for 3-5 residents. For the
disabled, there are a total of 10 rollstuhlfreundliche apartments, students with child (ren) are about
200 apartments with 1 1/2-4 rooms.
Each semester, approximately 20% of free room and newly hired. The selection is based on
application intake as well as social criteria, ie Distance to the study, family income, housing, etc. -
but also social commitment are important.
The basic residential housing is limited to 4 semester, but there are many possibilities, such as
through activities in the dormitory or due examination, a total period of residence of up to 10
semesters to reach.
individual apartments are between 20-25 m2. In the Old Town, there are also some very large rooms
(20 - 30 square meters). Most rooms are furnished, many individual apartments are unfurnished.
Who in a dormitory resident wants to should have a few thoughts about what awaits him there. In
older residential homes must be taken in that kitchen, bathroom and toilet of up to 13 persons
2.3 Rent Law
2.3.1 Important information about rental law
Conclusion of the contract
A lease contract for an apartment or a room need not necessarily be concluded in writing. Even
verbal agreements on renting an apartment are effective, if in doubt, but difficult to prove. So, at the
oral agreement on renting an apartment at least a brief written confirmation instance. Where a
written contract should be taken to ensure that all agreements that have been taken orally, in writing,
drafted the contract copy over. This is the view of the tenant especially for commitments regarding
the use of ancillary facilities such as the basement, attic, laundry or bicycle storage as well as for
pitches, etc. garden use.
If the conclusion of the performance of a security agreement, it is important to note that this law the
amount to a maximum of 3 months' rent is limited and the tenant has the right to the deposit in three
instalments with the first three rental payments. The landlord is required to deposit separate from its
other assets into a bank in them. Upon request, he has also demonstrated this plant. If he does not
after, the tenants have the right to the amount of the deposit paid the rent payments going back
zubehalten. If in a rental agreement regarding the deposit to any agreements, they are ineffective.
The most common rental agreements consist of preprinted forms. The regulations contained in the
separate assessment of their effectiveness in accordance with the provisions on general terms and

conditions. This means that in a variety of contracts contain clauses are ineffective. It therefore
recommends the completion of a written lease agreement about the effectiveness of individual
clauses to be informed.
If the tenancy agreement by a broker gives out, this is usually the commission agreed. This does not
apply if the broker at the same time, managers or even the owner of the rented house or apartment.
Is still a brokerage commission paid, it can possibly be recovered.
At this point was also pointed out that it is important for all payments, whether commission, deposit
or paid in cash payments or rental payments associated costs to give receipts. Even if the landlord is
entitled to fully trust, must not be overlooked that in the event such as the death of the lessor or the
sale of the apartment or house for a change of party may occur. It might be necessary in the past
made payments subsistence. This applies in particular to the contract termination
zurückzuerstattende deposit.
Rent and other charges
In general, there is a lease payment from a so-called basic rent and operating costs payments. These
operating costs payments may be in the form of a fixed lump sum or in the form of an advance
payment agreed upon. In the latter case, the landlord within one year after the settlement period,
usually the calendar year to issue a statement. Under If he dies, he is with any demands. Is also
possible to agree on a so-called Included rent. This consists in a total payment, both the basic rent
and operating costs. Since the agreement the acquisition of operating costs by the tenant of a clear
contractual agreement, it is also necessary in principle closed tenancy agreement to be verified. The
same applies, of course, if the landlord an operating cost accounting has. Such bills contain errors in
many cases to the detriment of the tenant. A timely and thorough review often helps to save money.
Housing deficiencies
If the apartment already handed over to the tenant shortcomings, it is necessary to immediately
inform the landlord best in writing. The rügelose, poor housing can lead to the tenants for the future
with demands to remove the deficiencies or rent reduction is excluded. The same risk if deficiencies
during the rental period and the tenant occur over longer periods of time without a rent reduction
alone, the full rent paid. The extent of the reduction depends on the degree by the lack of
interference occurring in the use of the apartment. Besides the reduction is also concerned that the
tenant to remedy the shortage is so he then the resulting expenses claim to the lessor. Is it necessary
for this before a deadline to eliminate poverty, so it is announcing that work, then the tenant without
delay. If the landlord then, on request, then the resulting expenses not offset, would precaution after
prior announcement, the netting over the current lease payments.
A special type of defect is the deviation of the actual floor space of the rental contract area. If the
actual area of the apartment more than ten percent less than the specified area, this ruling by a lack
jurisdiction because, not only to a corresponding reduction of rent, but also mean that the tenants in
the past paid too much rent returned.
Rent increases
The landlord can then increase the rent, if these 15 months was unchanged. Measure of the amount
of rent increases is the so-called comparative ortsübliche rent. For Heidelberg follows them from
the current rent levels. For the rent increase shall also the so-called cap, which means that within a
period of three years the rent by no more than 20 percent can be raised. Will the landlord a higher
rent, it must be in writing by the tenant. However, the rent increases in such a way to justify that, for
example, referring to the lease, it is shown that the comparison ortsübliche rent by the landlord
demanded rent. The landlord, the tenant must explicitly consent to rent increases.
For a declaration is the tenant a trial period of two months. The rent increase may be the earliest at
the beginning of the third month after receipt of the rent increases to take effect.
Another option open to rent increases for the landlord when he's home modernisation measures or
actions carried out in order to save energy. Such projects the landlord, three months before
announcing the measures. If no such announcement, the proposed action by the tenant not be
tolerated.
If the measure, a rent increase into account. It must again separately by the owner explains. The bill

ase for the rent increases by the landlord aufgewandten total cost. Eleven percent this can be
applied to the annual rent in the form of rent increases equitable basis. If the landlord in his
announcement of the modernization already the expected rent increases and deviates indicated the
actual increase is not more than ten percent of them, the rent increases at the beginning of the
following month effect provided that the rent increases declaration before 15 approaching the
previous month. If the landlord notice of the anticipated rent increases undermine the rent increase
request until six months later effectively.
Because each type of rent increases a variety of formal requirements to meet, is strongly advised to
access a rental increase Declaration expert advice.
Under rent and adding new people in the apartment
The subletting an apartment is usually only with the permission of the landlord. He is obliged to
grant this permission, if on the part of the tenant after the conclusion of the tenancy agreement a
legitimate interest therein arose. Such interest may be primarily from the change in personal and
economic circumstances.
It should be noted both that the intended subletting no overcrowding and the apartment is in the
person of the sub-tenant for no reason to disturb the peace, etc. house. Even the inclusion of a life
companion in a rented apartment needed following the recent approval of the jurisdiction of the
landlord. As a rule, but then give no overcrowding occurs or other reasons for the rejection exist.
An unauthorized subletting or transfer of housing to third parties can contribute to the termination
of the contractual relationship, why it is essential that by the landlord at least the consent at any
time. If it without objective reason, the exemption in the event of the other person in the apartment
the basis for dismissal.
Animal Husbandry
A lease agreement contained a general ban on animal husbandry is null and void. Small animals in
cages and fish may also without the consent of the landlord always kept. The attitude of larger
animals like dogs and cats is the legal situation is not clear. It is advisable to begin the approval of
the landlord requested.
The termination of animal husbandry by the landlord may be required if the domestic animal
disorders (Bellen, contaminating the staircase, etc.) or threats of roommates or other residents for
example, an animal hair allergy suffers. As a rule, an ultimately vertragswidrige livestock does not
mean that the contractual relationship with the landlord notice. He can only court to end the animal
husbandry enforce.
Termination of the contractual relationship
As a rule ends a housing tenancy by dismissal. For tenants, this is at any time without giving
reasons for a period of three months.
The landlord, a housing tenancy only when termination of reasons, such as captive or
vertragswidriges behaviour of the tenant's notice. The notice periods are staggered. With a duration
of less than five years three months, more than five years and six months of more than eight years
nine months. If a tenant with rent payments of more than two months in arrears, it disturbs the
peace sustainable house, a termination in question. If a termination due to default in payment, can
the eviction of tenants of the apartment. full compensation by the accumulated residue or by issuing
a statement over an authority within a period of two months after receiving the eviction action to
avert.
Contrary to a widespread view are rented rooms to students, even if they are furnished, not under
facilitated conditions or deadlines with shortened notice. This applies only if the furnished rooms
within a self inhabited by owner apartment is located.
Since the conclusion of the lease term contracts only under specific conditions, is also agreed in the
lease termination notice effective only under certain conditions can be agreed, if there is such a
contract urgently obtaining legal advice, in order to clarify the termination opportunities to gain.

Return of housing
If the contractual relationship effectively ended, the tenant has the apartment, including ancillary
spaces (such as the basement, attic, etc.) to fully acknowledge and returned to the landlord. This is
4.1 Health Insurance
No health insurance? -- Of which we can only advise!
For example, costs against that:
Dental treatment: 1,280 €
outpatient surgery: 752 € monthly insurance contribution:
Pregnancy and childbirth: 5,675 € about 60 €
inpatient treatment: 2,020 €
statutory health insurance

In Germany, students at universities in the course of study to 30 Age and 14 First semester or
university degree insurance in the statutory health insurance fund. A health insurance is proof
of registration (enrollment). The insurance premium is for students with statutory health insurance
(AOK, BEK, DAK, KKH, telecommunications, etc.) is high, he is currently (WAS 07/08) about 351
€ per semester, ie about 58 € per month. For all students of a compulsory health insurance is that the
insurance only with the beginning of the semester, with the earliest date of enrollment begins. From
the date of entry into the Federal Republic of up to the time of enrollment, there is no compulsory
insurance, it is not an insurance protection. It is therefore advisable for this period has its own
insurance.
private health insurance
The private health insurance differs in some key respects from the statutory health insurance:
The private health insurance companies have not all German cities agencies.
The insurance will decide freely on the inclusion of a person, they do not have any record or
insurance. If significant pre available, the chances are low, in a private health insurance to be
included.
The insurance premium is determined by age, gender and health status of the person and about the
extent of services provided by the insurance scheme.
Note necessarily reflect the policy conditions which special arrangements for the reimbursement of
costs or to maximum rates of doctors' fees. Some agree on an insurance deductible, ie part of a
settlement must be approved by the patients themselves. Some need medical and dental bills itself
first and then paid the invoices to the insurance company for reimbursement of the costs submitted
by mail. Also notice periods, payment mode, Rückfrage opportunity and access in the event of
sickness, your decision should be taken into account.
The extent of the benefits of private health insurance varies considerably, for example with glasses,
dental diseases, acne, massages, rehabilitation measures. When choosing a private health insurance
should be considered as evidence the performance of the statutory health insurance. Do not forget
Pre, childbirth, screening, dentures, visual aids and transport back in case of sickness. Please check
very closely, therefore, whether the benefits, which you an insurance company offers you enough.
Enrollment and health insurance
At an enrollment every student must either
a membership certificate issued by a German statutory health insurance or submit
a decision on the exemption from the mandatory health insurance (certificate that he / she is from
the German statutory health insurance is exempt / non-insurance is / versicherungsfrei). Students
who have the right to waive, at a great contribution to health insurance in Germany, have the
opportunity to within 3 months after studying in Germany from the health insurance requirement to
be exempted. This is looking for students a German statutory health insurance and submit to the
approval decision by the University of Heidelberg and documents about his private health
insurance. The health insurer may then for enrollment necessary exemption certificate issued. This
is usually very quickly. Please note, however: This exemption applies to the entire study period in
Germany and can not be undone.
Students from the European Union and the ERASMUS - Program
For students from countries of the European Union, with which the Federal Republic of Germany a
social security agreement has taken, possibly in the home country completed compulsory health
insurance, if they are by presenting the EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) or the form E128
(where E 106 , E 109, E 111) or TA 11 is demonstrated. The EHIC or the E 128 form must be signed
by the insurance of the home country and is a statutory health insurance in Germany submitted to
issue a decision liberation.
The health insurance coverage from a country of the European Union also applies to the period

prior to enrollment. An additional insurance to enrollment is not necessary. See - enrollment and
health insurance
Students in the framework of family insurance health insurance in Germany
Students whose parents or spouse in Germany legally health insurance, until 25 Age in the context
of family insurance contributions insured. In these cases, when a matriculation certificate of
College students in the study or in the German rate
College students in the study or in the German medical insurance rates are not because they are not
a subject for study, but for a Vorfachstudium enrolled. The statutory health insurance companies are
not obliged to these students and to insure.
See - enrollment and health insurance
With the inclusion of the studies is a change in the statutory health insurance.
With the completion of 30 Age or completion of the 14th Semester in Germany, the term of
compulsory insurance in the statutory health insurance. If Vorversicherungszeiten at a German
the case, or
Visiting scientists
If a / e GastwissenschaftlerIn not in Germany studied or worked and holds the first time in
Germany, are generally not Vorversicherungszeiten a statutory health insurance. The inclusion in a
statutory health insurance is usually not possible. There remains the possibility of private health
insurance.
Travel medical insurance
Travel medical insurance cover only a few benefits. They are only for Kurzaufent -
think abroad, since they have a substantial illness, dental treatment or prevention is not covered. For
Course description:
At the university, there are different types of events. The main course types should briefly
training event is to provide students an overview of the key issues, methods and basic concepts of
their trade and to give them in the techniques of scientific work. Special skills are not required to
participate. A power detection is usually based on a Kurzreferates and domestic work or final exam.
Seminars (HS; HpS) = seminars are the main events of the main study. Requirement is the
successful participation in the seminars of the required field and the interim audit. In the main
seminars to update their knowledge of basic studies expanded and deepened. A power detection is
science, there are also exercises in the laboratory.
Oberseminare (OS) = are events for exam candidates
Tutorials (T) = tutorials are exercise groups, to the accompaniment of a lecture or a seminar to be
7th Libraries
7.1 HEIDI - Electronic Catalogue of Heidelberger libraries
Until the thirties of the 20th Century, the new acquisitions of the UB hand-in large catalogs. These
volumes are still in the information centre of the UB. The band catalogues were typewritten cards
replaced, which in 1986 by the electronic catalogue HEIDI (Heidelberger library information
system) have been replaced. HEIDI can like almost all domestic and foreign catalogues today on the
Internet (http://www.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/helios/kataloge/heidi.html). In addition to local
catalogues as HEIDI found on the Internet in regional union catalogues, for example the SWB /
South West Germans Library Network (a total catalogue for libraries in Baden-Wuerttemberg,
Saxony, Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate; http://pollux.bsz-bw.de/), or the KVK / Karlsruher
Virtual Catalogue (a meta catalogue, with the Bibliotheksverbünden simultaneously in from
Germany and abroad, domestic and foreign national libraries and the book trade can be researched;
http://www.ubka.uni-karlsruhe.de/kv-k.html).
In the book HEIDI stocks and the UB institute libraries. HEIDI is simultaneously with the central
Issuing the UB coupled so that on HEIDI ordered and can be earmarked. The book inventory of the
UB since 1986 is completely in HEIDI collected, the book inventories institute libraries starting in
1990. But beware: The old stock of these libraries is not yet fully demonstrated HEIDI
electronically in older titles, there are missing, must be made to the above-mentioned predecessors
of HEIDI researched, the last few years via the Internet can be used: The two older catalogues of
UB were digitized and are now as so-called "Digikats" on the "literature search and ordering
(http://www.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/helios/kataloge/digikat.html).
Without HEIDI can the books in the UB not find - you get so familiar with early HEIDI.
A disadvantage of all library catalogues is the fact that one of them only in books, but no articles
can search.
Especially for the thematic search for literature must be complementary to the catalogues specialist
bibliographic data banker (http://www.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/epub/bibliographien.html) uses, which
are mainly the essays of his times finds, for example MEDLINE / PubMed, Biological Abstracts,
JURIS, WISO, Psyclnfo, FIS education, MLA, Historical Abstracts, ATLA Religion Database, to
mention only a few.
The use of databases and HEIDI convey specialist, modular consecutive training for UB. The
participants will be an overview on the structure and characteristics of various catalogues and
databases of UB and its importance for the use of the existing literature in Heidelberg. In extensive
training phases are knowledge of the search, display and self-service features and HEIDI search
tools, research techniques and search strategies taught in databases. The training schedule can be
found at (http://www.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/schulung/) or in the UB.
7.2 University Library (UB)
Make sure you have started your studies in Heidelberg in the circulation of UB (Plöck 107-109)
users a free card (bring student ID) that you can borrow and offers the advantage of UB. And make
a library tour with (at the beginning of the semester daily, appointments during the semester can be
found on the training side of the UB: http://www.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/schulung/).
Each semester to semester starts, the university library tours and training for the UB research
program "Heidi". There are lists of supervision in which you register for an appointment.
In further training, the UB users their skills in dealing with catalogues (to search for books and

magazines), databases (to search for articles), specialized portals (to use scientific sources on the
Internet), electronic full texts (magazines and books), literature management programs etc . All
events, apart from the introduction to the literature management programs, technical service (so you
can events according to their subject areas pick) and offer during the exercise phases much
opportunity to even try something on the PC. The dates can be found on the Internet at
http://www.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/schulung/.
In the main library in the Old Town (Plöck 107-109) and in the branch office in Neuenheimer Feld
(INF 368), there are textbook collections (old: Humanities and Social Sciences; INF: natural
sciences, medicine, geography, sports, mathematics). You can find books, courses in the subjects
needed, and you can borrow. If these books again all borrowed, is in the reading rooms usually a
copy, which can not be borrowed and with which you work. Many recent books from every
imaginable area are in hand-held area where they can be borrowed immediately. Since these books
other than textbooks for the acquisition years and just sort of the signature can be found, it must be
the signature before in HEIDI pick. Attendance at a basic training for research in catalogues really
worth it!
The older books are, however, in magazines and therefore must be ordered by computer. Literature,
which is not affiliated with the UB institute or a library, may via online or document delivery
Heart and brain of the UB in the Old Town is the information center. It extends over three floors.
This allows you to the locations and signatures of books, journals and electronic information
services identified. The information centre in the EC are computer workstations for the use of
electronic catalogs and Internet services. Use condition is the user identity of the UB.
Here you will also find the librarians the information to you on all issues, especially in the search
for literature and information, assist.
In the Multimedia Centre (MMZ) on the 1st There are numerous floor with modem-equipped PCs
available, with popular software programs (MS Office 2003, OpenOffice 1.1, Adobe Photoshop 8,
etc.) and Internet access. In addition, there are also laptop workstations with wireless network
(WLAN). Dias, microfiche, microfilm, etc. Scanners can work at several places and digital
Readerprintern used and electronically processed.
The humanities and social science journals can be found in the main library in the reading area of
the UB. The current books are in fact roughly divided magazine storage (these books can not be
borrowed). The older generations are usually in the magazine's magazine of the reading room and
can be accessed via the reading room counter about 14 days borrowed. Since they are not factually
established order, it is necessary to advance through signature HEIDI herausgesucht.
The scientific and medical journals, see the Information Centre in the new branch's home (ground
floor). Here are the current books (presence stock) and here you can last 10 vintages of magazines,
you - these vintages are also present stock and thus not entleihbar. Older vintages can be obtained
from the magazine on HEIDI ordered.
The fastest way to get in magazines, if they are available electronically. The inventory of all
electronic journals can be found on the magazine Electronic Library of Heidelberg
(http://www.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/helios/epubl/ej/Welcome.html) or via HEIDI.
If the library a book in your opinion should acquire or if ever borrowed a book and an additional
copy is desirable, you can use an acquisition proposal to make - the UB take any suggestion
seriously. The purchase form, go to http://www.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/helios/ansch.html/.
You can borrow as many books as you want and for four weeks. It is a double extension via
computer (via HEIDI) or answering machine (Tel: 54-4279). A third warning is also possible in
principle, but only by the staff of the UB. You must use the book in the lending of the UB. Be lent
pamphlets or other information sources (library) is not returned on time and return written notice,
will be lent for each unit of 1.50 euros for the second warning 3, - euro, for any further reminder
especially theft endangered books and magazines) and the New over the last few days, if they have
not yet been classified (here worthwhile always a view). There is also a folder in the papers and
audit report can be found (please independently with their own work and audit reports completed).
In subsequent anteroom, in the neighbouring "Grimm Hall" (right by the door) and in the basement
the seminar library)
In the historical department is the primary and secondary to significant (usually as "historic")
end are the toilets, and towards them is a Regal, in which the various "Semesterapparate" are
structured, ie Compilation of the most important primary and secondary literature on the various
The signing begins with a b and the "base number" of the philosophies / philosophers. The primary
literature is a superscript, the deep secondary with a number asked numbered. Example: 11803 B
Pure Reason.
Systematic Department:
primary literature: the secondary can be found at the end of the respective primary literature (that
goes for the historical and also for the systematic Department). Who beyond self for literature in the
seminar will seek, with HEIDI do, but you should also the two catalogues in the supervision view
even if you do not notorious Computermuffel. Because that also has some advantages:
In alphabetical catalogue are the books by author or publisher lima (the wooden box on the wall
opposite glass box in front of the supervision), in keyword catalogue is the (secondary) literature on
certain people to find (the small white shelf left the glass box).
The seminar library has two computers to search with HEIDI and on the Internet (for the literature
on the library, seminar), and is located in room 111, the middle room on the floor. In this room is
also the use of mitgebrachten laptops and notebooks, to Kommilitoninnen on the gallery (also
affectionately "galley") or elsewhere not to disturb.
Unlike other Instituts-/Seminarbibliotheken is the creation of table equipment not provided - used
books, therefore, please use back in their place on the shelf. If books are missing, please contact the
librarians or the supervisory staff. In the supervisory Desiderata is a book, in which your purchase
requests can express (often - depending on who does it care - incorporated).
11.3 Studienförderwerke
In Germany there are in addition to financial support by the BAföG a variety of grants and support
services, from public funds. In addition, there are bound denominational, private and the economy
coming from supporters. The selection criteria of individual institutions depend on the academic
achievements of students and political and / or religious orientation of the foundations.
As important as the monthly stipend However, the demands of gifted goes far beyond the transfer of
benefits, scholarships. The moral support with their study-programme is the actual constituent
feature of these gifted promotion. It offers each year a variety of seminars, workshops and
conferences at central and regional levels, leading to a substantial body of scholarship holders,
together with the student support officer and speakers of the Foundation, prepared and
implemented. In addition to the processing of social and scientific issues are increasingly learning
opportunities desired and implemented by the provision of key skills, vocational guidance and the
preparation of the ganges-from school to work. Dealing with job prospects and the concrete support
of the Berufseinstieges play today in the study support a central role. The foundations are also their
internship program requirements. To study-stipendiatische program also includes projects with a
wide range of thematic and last but not least - advice on studies and förderungsbezogenen issues as
well as personal problems. With the moral support and the chance, the Foundation gathered in the
diverse technical expertise to exploit their foundations offer the scholarship holders much more than
12.2 jobs and social security duty / tax
Social insurance liability
The social will include health insurance, pension, accident, unemployment and long-term care
insurance. Typically, the employer pays the full contribution to the long-term care insurance, the

other share contributions employers and employees. For his main work is not the end, as you are
there as students or at least should be, there are exceptions. These can be roughly divided into four
categories.
Minor Employment
Social Security will remain open for Section 8 SGB IV, if you every month
(a) not more than 325 Euro (since April 1, 2003 400 euros) in the month and (b) less than 15 hours
a week.
You pay only the employers, 10% in health and pension insurance.
Two (or more) Minor jobs are aggregated. If the total more than 400 euros, it is no longer a minor
employment and it is at least pension insurance due, for both jobs.
Short-term employment
Versicherungsfrei jobs remain entirely if they are limited from the outset and employment in a year
(ie 12 months from the last previous working day) no longer than
60 calendar days (if 5 or more days a week
) or
50 working days (if 4 or less days a week
) time.
It does not matter how much merit and when the activity is (also in the lecture time).
During the lecture time
If the average working time in a week does not exceed 20 hours, you only need to pay pension
insurance (unless it is a minor or short-term employment), otherwise it is assumed that you no
longer the most time with students are employed, and you are fully insurance. The need not apply if
the weekly working time of 20 hours and they went further in the evening or night hours or
predominantly on the weekend is done. This is decided on a case by case. A temporary job during
term time can also apply as a short-term employment (see above).
Out of the lecture time
If your Semesterferienjob is not minor, and no more than short-term employment may be reported
(because in the last year employment has worked as 2 months), you are still not fully social, but
only pay pension insurance. In doing so, earnings and hours per week does not matter. But: The
duration of employment must from the outset to vorlesungsfreie time-limited.
Regard!
Do you work in an employment year (not calendar year) more than 26 weeks, you will be full social
security, because the world keeps you offices will no longer properly for studying. This
presumption, but you have to refute, especially if the job is something with their study to be done.
If you are two (different) Jobs at the same time, will all automatically rentenversicherungspflichtig.
Other:
If you get a job in which an official declaration, income tax card also need to inquire after the limits
with regard to social security and taxes.
In addition, we also as a 400-euro jobbers or assistant in the semester holiday entitlement to paid
Independence
The conditions for a self-employed are mainly the fact that his working conditions largely
determine freely and not in the operations of his authority involved. There should be no fixed job in
the operation, and no fixed working hours.
Unfortunately, students are often forced to pursue activities that all of these prerequisites do not
comply, but by the client to be as independent. This saves namely money. It is often difficult to
defend against them, you will not lose the job. There is talk here of "bogus self-employment". This
is often the case with fee or contract work the case.
IMPORTANT: In order to recapture the self-employment income from the recipients must take care
of themselves!
One should always his own income in the income tax returns indicate, because the tax authorities
can control investigations by the contracting authority from their income.
A "scheinselbständiger job often has more disadvantages than advantages. For all those who later
perhaps even self-employed, it is important that the state only once for each funding from the
Fördertopf for start-ups available.
Until now it was for the employers also relatively easy, students have to provide separate job: On
the question of whether you have no income tax card abgeben must sometimes you have received
the answer, so that the earnings below 400 euros. The real background, but that you are responsible
