tion for World War II and beyond. That is what we are destroying! Whatthey’re doing is taking and looting the factories, which are scheduled to be shutdown. They’re moving the machine toolsout of the United States, into Europe andelsewhere. What we are seeing and experiencingis the destruction of the UnitedStates! And this is occurring at a timewhen the entire world economy is aboutto go into the greatest depression thatEuropean civilization has known since the14th Century. All of these problems can be addressed. These problems can be solved. The lessonswe had under Franklin Roosevelt willwork. The challenge is greater today thanit was then, because our relative conditionof decay is worse today, than it was then. But if we work, and mobilize around this,we can save the nation. We can reorganizethe international monetary system! Wecan reorganize the banking system! Wecan do all these thing;, there’s nothingunfeasible about it! Roosevelt pioneered inshowing just exactly what we could do in that direction. And I know what needs to be done—and I’m an expert, hmm? We can do it! But, we have to be willing to do it! Wehave to commit ourselves to the action of doing it! Wehave to go into this, as if we were going to war, to save thenation from an invading enemy. And what do you think ofthose laggards, those slackers, in the Congress, who refuseto mobilize and defend this nation, when its very existenceis in danger? What kind of leadership is that? Is there anyperson in that Congress fit to be President of the UnitedStates? Because we had one stinking President, like thisGeorge W. Bush, Jr., do you have to have all stinkingPresidents!? Can’t we have an honest one, for a change? One with a brain, for a change? One with some guts, for achange? Not a draft-dodger, or a virtual draft-dodger, whowent into the National Guard to avoid military service. That’s our problem. This is an old problem. It’s a problem of civilization ingeneral. See, the problem with the Baby-Boomer, is thathe never learned the difference between a man and ape. He’s like Thomas Huxley, or Frederick Engels, none ofwhom ever understood the difference between a man anda monkey. Matter of fact, Engels almost made a point ofinsisting upon it, that it was the same thing.I say, don’t monkey around with mankind.EIRNS/Stuart LewisWe can have a world population of more than 6 billion today, because man is ableto make discoveries, and increase our power in the Universe. “All this depends uponthe ability of the human mind, to do what no ape can do—and what the Presidentof the United States today, can not do: Think!” Here, LYM members at the webcast.Life Is Taking Over the PlanetWhat is the difference? You have three categories thatwe know today, three categories of existence on this planet, and in the universe as far as we know it. One are things andprocesses we call “non-living processes.” They’re the subjectsof ordinary chemistry. Then you have the chemistry ofprocesses, which we call living processes, or products of livingprocesses. Now, even though the so-called elements, orchemical elements involved in the two kinds of processes, living and non-living, or formerly living, are the same chemicalelements according to the Mendeleyev Periodic Table, they’re not the same processes. Because living processesdeal with the same elements differently, than non-livingones. As the case, for example, of the famous discoveries inFrance, the initial discoveries in the 19th Century, of the differencebetween living and non-living processes. So there’s adifferent physical principle, which differentiates the way inwhich the same chemical elements, so-called, function in anon-living process and a living process. Now, the planet is becoming increasingly more andmore a residue of living processes, and less and less aresidue of non-living processes. Life is taking over the planet. That is, the fossils produced by life, together with livingprocesses, are a greater part of the total weight of this planet,as time goes on. Life is more powerful than non-life.Then, you have human beings. Human beings do nothave a fixed relative population potential. Animals do.But human beings are able to change their societies’ relativepopulation potential. For example, if man were anape, like Frederick Engels—if man were an ape, wewould never have had more than several million livinghuman individuals on this planet, under the conditionsof the past 2 million years as an available opportunity. But we have, today, over 6 billion people living on thisplanet. Why? Because of discoveries which correspond toClassical artistic discoveries, discoveries of universalphysical principle, discoveries made by individual minds,9
