From Lyndon LaRouche’s June 9 WebcastFelix Rohatyn andThe NazisHere is the full text of the opening remarks byLyndon LaRouche to a June 9, 2006Washington webcast. He was introduced byhis spokeswoman Debra Freeman; spaceconstraints have forced us to abridge herremarks.Debra Freeman: Good afternoon, ladies andgentlemen. My name is Debra Freeman. Iserve as Lyndon LaRouche’s nationalspokeswoman, and on behalf of theLaRouche Political Action Committee, I’dlike to welcome you to today’s seminar. . . .This week, we experienced a very rapidescalation of our understanding as to preciselywhy the Congress has been hesitantto act on the necessary measures to savethe auto industry.Because, keep in mind, it was more thana year ago, it was actually in March 2005,that Mr. LaRouche began a campaign of avery explicit demand: that action had to betaken, because of the impending crisis andbankruptcy that America’s major automakerswere facing. And it seemed on a certain level, incomprehensible,as that fight intensified, that members of theCongress seemed incredibly reluctant to act.Well, this week, we began to put together the reasonwhy. And one of the things that we discovered—and certainlyyou can find out more details of it in a White Paperthat is currently flooding the District of Columbia, andwill soon be flooding the entire United States—what wehave uncovered, is that the bankruptcy of Delphi, whichwas the spearhead of impending broader bankruptcies, was not simply the result of the ill health of that company;nor was it the result of what was obvious mismanagement. But that, in fact, the sell-off of Delphi was presidedover by none other than Felix Rohatyn, as part of the systematicdismantling of America’s auto industry, and ofAmerica’s industrial capability in general.2EIRNS/Stuart Lewis“Unless there’s a change, the entire international financial system could collapseby approximately September of this year, or even earlier.”It was a shocking revelation; shocking, perhaps, thatMr. Rohatyn was so open in his action. But perhaps thatis nothing more than a reflection of his incredible arrogance, and confidence that the American people weresimply too stupid and too distracted, to notice that theirnation was being taken apart from under them. It’s that ideology that unfortunately permeates a goodportion of the Congress. Perhaps not with quite the samehostility toward the U.S. population that a Felix Rohatynhas, but definitely a sense of cynicism, that the U.S. populationeither doesn’t know or doesn’t care. And in fact, that is a very serious miscalculation. And as hundreds ofmembers of the LaRouche Youth Movement have organizedacross the nation, and have reached out into thepores of this country’s heartland, what they have actuallyfound is something quite different: People are angry.
