Public Information Act (2001, 2008)The purpose of this Act is to ensure that the public and everyperson has the opportunity to access information intendedfor public use, based on the principles of a democraticand social rule of law and an open society, and to createopportunities for the public to monitor the performance ofpublic duties.Public information is information which is recorded anddocumented in any manner and on any medium and whichis created or obtained upon performance of public duties.
