National Insurance SchemeCont’d‣ Widow/Widower’s BenefitThis benefit is payable to the surviving spouse of a National Insurance Pensioner or Contributor.The payment depending on age and other conditions may be short term (1year) or long term.‣ Orphan’s BenefitThis benefit is payable to the guardian of a child or children under age eighteen (18) whoseparents were married or in an established common law relationship, and are now deceased.The contribution of one parent will be used to determine qualification of benefit.‣ Special Child BenefitThis benefit is payable to the Guardian of a child under age eighteen (18) whose mother is nodeceased and the whereabouts of the father is not known. The mother’s contribution will beused to determine eligibility.Please be advised that they are other benefits that are offered by the scheme. Questions mayand should be asked at the conference.
