PRESIDENT’S COLUMNHello everyone,This month marks half of the summer asover, and there are still several major eventsscheduled. There are too many people to thankfor the help with the SCTP-AIM trap shootyesterday. We had a total of<strong>10</strong>9 shooters 18 years oldand under participating.The weather couldn’t havebeen better after lastFridays storms.Today all my usualworkers that I depend oncame to the work-bee andcleaned up and put awayeverything we used to make the shootsuccessful. Also the people that took care of allthe grounds prior to the shoot, We are lookingpretty darned good.Next month on August <strong>10</strong> th we are havinganother “Beef Cook Out.” Tickets are tenbucks and available at the bar. Then later in themonth on the <strong>24</strong> th it’s “Good Old Days” thisyear thanks to Andy Lynch, we are going tohave a couple of old time Gatling guns at thebig bore range that will be available for firing.That ought to be a hoot.September brings another hunting season andthis year is looking like game will be plentiful.Doe permit applications are now available forpurchase at hunting license dealers. With that inmind, “Hunters Safety” courses at MLCA aredesigned to get the young hunters ready for thefield. First Kid’s Fishing Clinic A SuccessEight Multi-Lakes kids were greeted with fineweather at our Reed Lake dock for the first Multi-Lakes Kid’s Fishing clinic. Fisher-kids includedMegan and Ryan Budai, Lilli Willis, John Walker,Abi and Tyler Latessa plus Tony and Germano.Ages ranged from 6 to 12.A short picnic table class taught the kidsabout our Reed Lake fish, fishing safety, knottying. Then some practice casting and on to thedock for some real fishing.A good time was had by all.
