The Bears <strong>of</strong> Berlin<br />
The 62 nd annual Berlin International Film Festival is scheduled to be held<br />
from February 9 th to February 19 th this year, with British director Mike Leigh<br />
announced as <strong>the</strong> President <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Jury. O<strong>the</strong>r members include Dutch<br />
fi lmmaker Anton Corbijn, American actor Jake Gyllenhaal, and French-<br />
British actress Charlotte Gainsbourg, while American actress Meryl Streep<br />
will be presented with <strong>the</strong> Honorary Golden Bear on February 14 th . Benoît<br />
Jacquot’s Les adieux à la reine has been announced as <strong>the</strong> opening<br />
fi lm. Among <strong>the</strong> fi lms to be screened is <strong>the</strong> <strong>new</strong> Hungarian-French-German<br />
co-produced Csak a szél (Only <strong>the</strong> wind). However in accordance to rules<br />
which state any competing fi lm must have its <strong>world</strong> premiere at <strong>the</strong> festival,<br />
<strong>the</strong> Hungarian premiere will be postponed for it to be eligible. This also<br />
means that <strong>the</strong> Benedek Fliegauf directed fi lm won’t be screened at <strong>the</strong> 43 rd<br />
Hungarian Film Festival, taking place between February 2 nd and 5 th .<br />
