During the exercises aradioactive source is simulated and this islooked for, recovered and made safe. This isan ideal way of putting into practice the theorythat trainees previously learn, for instance cordoningoff areas, donning protective clothingand checking for possible contamination.When necessary the trainers make it clear onthe spot, sometimes quite harshly, any criticismsthey may have.Owing to the specific conditions and local circumstancesat our company premises, whichassure that the exercises go off well, theHildesheim Fire Brigade performs the trainingalmost annually here.
