PROTECTOWIREFixed Temperature <strong>Heat</strong><strong>Sensing</strong> <strong>Cable</strong><strong>Protectowire</strong> Linear <strong>Heat</strong> Detection <strong>Cable</strong> is a heatsensing cable that detects a build up of heat anywherealong its length. <strong>Protectowire</strong> is availablewith a choice of temperature settings and an alarmis initiated when the rated temperature Is reached.L G MPRODUCTSThe sensor cable comprises of two steel conductorsindividually insulated with a heat sensitivepolymer, then wrapped with a protective tape andfinished with a choice of outer covers to suit theenvironment in which the cable will be installed.Available in five different temperature settings andthree outer cover options, the cables can be usedin a wide range of applications including (with theaid of intrinsically safe barriers) those in hazardousareas.SEE PAGE 2FOR DETAILEDSPECIFICATIONSPROTECTOWIRE HEAT DETECTION CABLE OPERATION The insulated conductorsare twisted togetherSTEEL CONDUCTORSto impose a spring pressure betweenthem.
