• The interstate shipment of indigenousetiological agents, diagnostic specimens andbiological products need clearance of IBSC• The import of regulated materials forresearch (e.g. toxin genes, hybridomas, cellcultures, organelle) and specifyingconditions under which the agent or vector isshipped, handled and use are issued by RCGM• large scale imports for industrial use areregulated by GEAC• In case of plants, the import is routedthrough the Director, National Bureau ofPlant Genetic Resources on the basis of theimport permit issued by the DBT, based onrecommendations of the RCGM
