Forest Plantations in Brazil1 Forest Plantations in Brazil1.1 Forest Plantations with Eucalypt and PineThe total eucalypt and pine planted forest area in Brazil reached 5,560,203 ha in 2007, with an increase of 186,789 hacompared to 2006, or 3.4 %, as shown in Table 1.01. From 2005 to 2007, the total planted area increased 318,428 ha, 1.4% for pineand 10.1% for eucalypt.Table 1.01 shows pine and eucalypt planted area in Brazil from 2005 to 2007. Table 1.02 compares forest plantation area ofthe ABRAF member and non-member companies.
