2.8 The Rapid Response Fire ProductsThe MODIS Rapid Response System produces near-real time global imagery including true- andfalse-color corrected reflectance superimposed with fire locations (Figure 6), Normalized DifferenceVegetation Index (NDVI), and land surface temperature. Near-real time locations of Terra andAqua MODIS fire pixels are also available in ASCII files. 2.9 LDOPE Global Browse ImageryThe MODIS Land Data Operational Product Evaluation (LDOPE) provides interactive daily globalbrowse imagery of many MODIS land products from the MODIS Land Global Browse Images website 2 in near-real time (Figure 7). For most products (including the fire products) the browse imageryis generated using only the daytime overpasses.
