Mr. Serwicki’s students from <strong>East</strong> <strong>Aurora</strong> Middle <strong>School</strong> and High<br />
<strong>School</strong> took part in the <strong>2012</strong> National Latin Exam, administered<br />
internationally across the fi fty states and thirteen countries. The<br />
exam is sponsored by the American Classical League and the<br />
National Junior Classical League.<br />
The following <strong>East</strong> <strong>Aurora</strong> students were honored for their<br />
achievement during the exam:<br />
Seventh grade:<br />
• Benjamin Bachman (special ribbon for a nearly fl awless<br />

The <strong>East</strong> <strong>Aurora</strong> Staff Wellness Team recently coordinated<br />
“Spring Into Wellness” Campaign. Activities<br />
included Zumba, Indian Folk Dance, Hockey for<br />
Hope, Yoga, Volleyball, Boot Camp, Step classes and<br />
seminars on Relaxation techniques and How to Spring<br />
Clean Your Diet. The seminars were sponsored by Blue<br />
Cross/Blue Shield, and led by members of our staff.<br />
The <strong>East</strong> <strong>Aurora</strong> Wellness Team promotes healthy<br />
lifestyles and coordinates programs on comprehensive<br />
wellness issues.<br />
Future events of the Wellness Team will include<br />
National Walk at Lunch Day, Walking Works Challenge,<br />
a Perennial Plant Swap and the Corporate Challenge.<br />
The team is led by Lisa Brown and Leslie Jones.<br />
NOTE: Nurse Aungst asks parents to note the dates of fall sport physicals: May 14, 18, 21 and 25; and June 1, 4 and 8 (if<br />
needed.) Please also note that although there is no school on May 21 due to a conference day, exams will be at Middle<br />
<strong>School</strong> only, between the hours of 8:15 and 11:15 AM. Appointments are encouraged; call the High <strong>School</strong> Health Offi ce at<br />
687-2550, or the Middle <strong>School</strong> Health Offi ce at 687-2450.
