Q&A
Do you think of your art as existing within a moral context?
I see my work rather emotional and touching. This exhibition project is about
women, so I photographed them the way I see them: Strong, frightening and
still elegant.
Is there a place for dialogue in your work?
Yes, the saying that “A picture says more than a 1000 words”, is not just a cliche.
My photography can clearly speak to the women. The image “Keeping your
Senses” for instance addresses the “time out” moments every woman needs to
meditate in order to keep her stability in life.
Do you have an obligation as an artist to the public?
My obligation to the public is simply to keep true to myself and my work.
Continuing photography the way I see it, exposing the works to them without
impounding it on them and wait for acceptance.
