We are planning to increase capital expenditures in fiscal2006 to a massive 80 billion yen, up 57% over theprevious term.Of the 80 billion yen budgeted for capital expenditures, 45billion yen is targeted to production facilities, to enhanceproduction capacity for products for which demand isexpected to grow—such as capacitors, noisesuppression components, microwave devices, andBluetooth R modules. A sum of 20 billion yen is set asidefor investment in new buildings, for products such asMLCCs, microwave devices, power supplies, and rawmaterials, in preparation for business expansion in two tothree years time.8
