Each childreceives special attention to his or her growthneeds. Daily activities for the children are plannedto provide variety in learning and in play includinggames, toys, outdoor activities and field trips.The program is available to children <strong>of</strong> eligiblefamilies, from newborn to age twelve. Assistanceis given to these families in selecting the mostsuitable <strong>Care</strong>-giver, and there is on-going supportand supervision.Your Assurance <strong>of</strong> Quality <strong>Care</strong>Each <strong>Home</strong> <strong>Child</strong> <strong>Care</strong>giver has been verycarefully selected and has certified First Aid skills.The Ministry <strong>of</strong> <strong>Child</strong>ren and Youth <strong>Services</strong> staff“spot check” the homes as part <strong>of</strong> the annuallicensing review. <strong>Child</strong> <strong>Care</strong> Division staff alsovisits the <strong>Care</strong>giver’s home monthly, and some <strong>of</strong>these visits are with, some without, appointment.All agency staff are Early <strong>Child</strong>hood Educators,and are available on an ongoing basis forconsultation and information on your child’sdevelopment.Your <strong>Care</strong>giver has full access to the <strong>Region</strong>’s<strong>Home</strong> <strong>Child</strong> <strong>Care</strong> Program’s resources to assistthem in making your child’s care a nurturing andearly learning experience. These include educationprograms, an annual conference, eveningworkshops, and special interest events.<strong>Home</strong> safety inspections are carried out everythree months.

All <strong>Care</strong>givers have provided satisfactorypersonal, criminal and Family & <strong>Child</strong>ren’s<strong>Services</strong> references.5. The <strong>Region</strong> verifies that their First Aidcertificate is up to date.6.
