Appendix DFuel Test ProceduresSection Fuel Test Procedures PageD1 Fuel Testing 57D2 Containers for holding Samples 57D3 Fuel Test Procedures 57D4 Shipping from the AMA Office 58D1 Fuel Testinga. The AMA in cooperation with the FIM will carry out fuel tests atany time during the course of any AMA Supercross, an FIMWorld Championship meet.b. Any person or organization, being a potential supplier of fuel,may be requested to submit a sample for testing for conformitywith the required fuel specifications.c. The chief technical inspector, in consultation with the racedirector, has sole authority to direct the administration of fueltests during the course of any AMA Supercross, an FIM WorldChampionship event.d. The criteria for selection of the machines from which samplesare to be taken will be at the sole discretion of the chieftechnical inspector in consultation with the race director.e. The motorcycles selected for fuel sampling and testing will beplaced in the impound area.f. The chief technical inspector will supervise the collection of thetest samples.g. Only officials under the supervision of the chief technicalinspector may take fuel test samples.D2 Containers for Holding Samplesa. Must be clean and constructed of robust, fuel non-reactive,impermeable material.b. Must be sealable.c. Must have provision for identification.D3 Fuel Test Proceduresa. The extraction of fuel from machines must be directly from thefuel tank.b. Three (3) test samples will be collected from each selectedmachine.c. The containers must be immediately sealed and identified byreference to the machine from which the sample was taken.d. This information must be entered on the AMA Supercross, anFIM World Championship Fuel Sample Certificate, which mustcertify the date, place and time of taking the sample, theidentity of the machine from which the sample was taken, andthe identity of its rider.e. The samples (A, B and C) must remain in the control of thechief technical inspector. The rider or a representative of therider/team must sign the AMA Supercross, an FIM World57FUEL TESTPROCEDURES
