Gearing Up<strong>Delhi</strong> <strong>Transco</strong> has its own Training Department forthe skill development of its employees. Besides,conducting in-house training programmes, theemployees are also sponsored for outsidetraining organized by the reputed organizations.The training programme organized during the lastquarter, were directly linked to their job and wereaimed to improve their competence andefficiency. Some of the major TrainingProgrammes conducted include the following.SUB-STATION AUTOMATION TRAININGPROGRAMMEA twelve days training programme related to On-Shore Sub-Station Automation was conductedduring the month of October and November,2012. A total 20 engineers (Shift Officer, Jr.Engineers, Asstt. Managers and Managers etc.)were benefited with the training. The training wasconducted in association with Larson & TourboLtd. at ABB Training Centre.MANAGING FINANCEThe officers working in the Finance Wing weresponsored for workshop on FEMA 1999 andinternational trade conducted by PrincetonAcademy. Besides, few more of officers weresponsored for the Management DevelopmentProgramme on Emerging Issues in Managementof Taxation. This Programme was conducted bythe Institute of Cost Account of India.MANAGERIAL COMPETENCE IN CONTRACTMANAGEMENTDirectorate of Training, UTCS conducted a basiccourse for managerial competence in contractmanagement during October and November,2012. The three days programme was attendedby 20 engineers of <strong>Delhi</strong> <strong>Transco</strong> dealing with thecontract work.IMPROVING FUNCTIONAL EFFICIENCYFor the management of <strong>Delhi</strong> <strong>Transco</strong> each andevery employee is its valuable asset.
