The award has beengiven by Council of Power Utilities for over allperformance in transmission of power. The awardwas given by Prof. M.R. Srinivasan, Member,Atomic Energy Commission, Govt. of India toShri Shakti Sinha, CMD, DTL during a functionheld on 29th November, 2012 at India HabitatCentre, New <strong>Delhi</strong>.Since its inception in 2002, <strong>Delhi</strong> <strong>Transco</strong> hasmade significant growth on all the parametersand is considered one of the best run state powertransmission utilities in India. The company hashighest system availability and one of the lowesttransmission losses. The company is using stateof the art technologies to keep pace with the bestin the field. Besides, <strong>Delhi</strong> <strong>Transco</strong> is one of thefew entities of <strong>Delhi</strong> Government which areearning profit and paying dividends to thegovernment. <strong>Delhi</strong> <strong>Transco</strong> has successfullytransmitted the highest ever demand of 5642 MWin July 2012 and was able to restore power withinminimum time frame during the July 2012 gridfailures.On receiving the award Shri Sinhaexpressed happiness and said that thecompany will continue to serve thecitizens and create new records in thecoming years.2
