The module when fullyoperational, will immensely contribute to valueaddition. Availability of desired informationthrough Business Intelligence module to topmanagement in time will facilitate well informeddecision making.MYTHS AND REALITIESEveryone should endeavor to run the systemrather than thinking that those in charge of ERPshould help run it. As in fact the persons in chargeof it cannot help technically to run the ERP withoutthe services of the core team members of theconcerned departments. ERP is of the companyas a whole with responsibility of all thedepartments. ERP section consists of the peopleselected from all the departments and is workingas a facilitator only. Responsibility to run therespective departments is of the people workingin it. Initially, members selected from differentdepartments were put together as a core team.The objective was to give them comprehensivetraining from a centralized location. After thetraining was over, half of the core team memberswere sent back to the respective departments torun the ERP of their departments. After the ERPgets fully stabilized, may be all the core teammembers will be required to work in theirrespective departments. By the time everybodywould be ERP literate. ERP department wouldultimately be a very small one comprising peopleto make administration, co-ordination work and toprovide IT services in general only.7
