Family HandbookAASSchool LeadershipThe School Board of DirectorsThe Anglo-American School of Sofia is governed by the School Board of Directors(the Board). The Board holds monthly meetings, which are open to all interestedparents. The Board exercises control and direction of the business and affairs ofthe school. The Board is guided in its governance by the school‘s policy manual,which is available for review in the Director‘s office. There are nine members ofthe School Board. The American Ambassador appoints four Board members,including the chairperson. The British Ambassador appoints four Board membersincluding the Vice-Chairperson. The Parent Teachers Organization President is theninth Board member. Ex-officio and non-voting members of the School Board arethe Director of the School, the Deputy Director, the business manager, and anelected staff representative, as well as other Board appointees.
