Professional InternshipProgrammeThe professional internship programme is an unpaidwork placement in a UK company. This programme isideal for students and young professionals who want toimprove their English in a working environment and gainpractical knowledge of a certain UK business sector. It ismost suitable for students who have studied or worked,or are planning on studying/working in the requested areaof business. Please contact us for more informationregarding the application procedure.AgeCandidates should be between 18 and 32 years old. Oldercandidates will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances.Preceding English Language CourseThe internship has to be preceded by at least a four-week Englishcourse at Select English. Non-EU candidates have to study at least thesame amount of weeks as their internship.Length of InternshipThe internship should be a minimum of 4 weeks. There is no maximumlength. However, for placements over 4 months an extra charge applies.Sectors of PlacementsMany business sectors are covered, such as marketing, architecture,business administration, fashion, engineering, import/export, law,advertising, PR and others.Level of EnglishStudents should have reached an intermediate to upper-intermediatelevel of English.Location of Placement and AccommodationMost placements are in London and, if convenient, candidates can stayin our school residence or homestay accommodation for the duration oftheir internship. Otherwise we can assist in finding alternativeaccommodation.
Select English CambridgeSelect English has another permanent school inCambridge. The school is open all year. FromJanuary to June and September to December weoffer courses for adults ages 16+ and in thesummer we offer courses for children, teenagersand adults.
