TheSate Bank of India Ghorab (Nagrota Bagwan) sponsored the camp. GenV.N.Sharma, COAs (Retd.) and his spouse Mrs. Swaroop Sharma, chiefPatron of this sansthan graced the function. ShriRam Chandra Mehta, SAO (Retd), Project Manager explained the SewaPrakalp of Vikalang Sahayata Yojana in general and about theachievements of this Vikalang Sansthan in particular since 1992. Hethanked the Management of the SBI for their cooperation and financialhelp, from time to time, for this noble cause.Gen. A felicitation Programmewas also arranged amongst the children of our members viz. Shri DebrajBanik and Smt. Sanchita Paul for their outstanding performances in finalH.S.L.C. Examination 2008. They were provided with certificates andother gifts.Abhayapuri : Foundation day was celebrated by the branch on 10/07/08. The function was held at Inspection Bungalow under thepresidentship of Mr. Anil Kumar Das. In the function the National AdditionalSecretary General, Prof. Haridas Sarkar delivered his valuable lectureas the chief guest. Secretary General of Assam State, Mr. S.R. Goswamiwas also present as a guest of honour.Greater Kailash, Delhi South : The foundation day of BVP wascelebrated with great fervor on 13th July 2008. Sh. Ved Prakash Agarwal,President of the branch welcomed the guests providing the bird's eyeview of sterling performance of the branch, as well as several sewa &Sanskar projects undertaken by the branch.The chief guest was Smt. Arti Mehra Hon'ble Mayor of Delhi andGuest of honour was Sh. O.P. Sharda, Councillor. Both of them eulogisedthe dedication and commitment of the parishad to serve the weakersection of the society. The key speaker was Dr. Mahesh Vedalankar, arenowned orator who spoke on "Manav Sewa Ewam Bhartiya Sanskriti"keeping audience spell bound with his inspiring and thought provokinglecture. The famous Singer, Sh. Narinder Vashisht and party regaled withtheir melodious bhajans. Inspite of inclement weather, over 350 personswere present at the function, with all roads leading to the venue. Everyonepresent had an exceedingly enjoyable evening with plenty of "Food forthought".Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, J&K : The prant celebrated foundationday of BVP falling on 10th July 2008 with "hawan" at Arya Samaj MandirTrikuta nagar, which was attended by about 50 members. The prominentmembers included Prof. Satish Anand National Secretary, Sh. S.N.Sharma National Convener, and other senior members of the prant andbranches of BVP.
