Introduction Putrajaya Lake is an artificial lake created byinundating the valleys <strong>of</strong> Sungai Chuau andSungai Bisa The lake construction was completed in 2002 witha total area <strong>of</strong> 400ha. The fisheries resource <strong>of</strong> the lake is managed bythe Perbadanan Putrajaya with the assistance <strong>of</strong>the <strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Fisheries</strong> <strong>Malaysia</strong>. The roles <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Fisheries</strong> <strong>Malaysia</strong>include providing technical advice, supplying fishseedlings for public restocking and conductfisheries resource survey <strong>of</strong> the lake.
