A resident of Scottsdale, Ariz.,
Michael Tucevich is a judge with the
federal government hearing Social
Security appeals. He is also an avid tennis
player (4.5 level).
Michael and his 16-year-old daughter,
Morgan, (pictured below) visited Paris
last summer.
1969
John Kukulica and his wife, Gigi,
live in a newly remodeled home on the
Truckee River in Reno with their 45
hens, five cats, five dogs, four ducks and
one rooster. The couple has two children:
Dominic, a firefighter for CALFIRE, and
Ariana, a junior at Reno High School.
John works for Aflac.
Class Notes
Mary Beth Monteith Denoncourt’s
daughter, Sara, and granddaughter,
Savana, 5, recently appeared in a
production of “The King and I,” staged
at the Douglas Morrison Little Theater
in Hayward. Pictured below: Savana (in
pink) was the littlest Royal Princess and
Sara (in red) was a Royal Dancer.

1974
Michael D’Orazi was named the
permanent Fire Chief of the Alameda
Fire Department (AFD) on Dec. 19,
2011.
Mike began his firefighter career in
1979 with AFD. He was promoted to
lieutenant in 1988 and to captain in
1999. He also served as the Department’s
training director from 2003 to 2007. He
retired in 2007.
“We are very fortunate that Mike has
agreed to come out of retirement to serve
as chief,” said Alameda City Manager
John Russo. “He knows the department
and the city as well as anyone, and we
need him to help transition AFD to a
broader work mission given the long term
fiscal shortfalls Alameda is facing.”
Mike and his wife Lori have been
married for 32 years. The couple has
three children and two grandchildren.
1986
Dr. Kim Williams joined the
political science faculty at Portland State
University in the fall of 2011 and also
was named director of the Center for
Women, Politics & Policy at PSU.
Previously, Kim taught at the Harvard
Kennedy School. Her research and
teaching interests converge around issues
of race and immigration in American
politics.
She is the author of “Mark One
or More: Civil Rights in Multiracial
America,” and she is working on her
second book, “The Latino Population
Boom: How Blacks & Whites are
adapting to a New Chapter in American
Politics.”
