<strong>Maldives</strong> <strong>Police</strong> <strong>Service</strong>Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Delivery <strong>of</strong> <strong>Service</strong>sApart from reducing crime and ensuring community safety, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Strategic</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> gave due weightageto improving policing standards and behaviour in accordance with <strong>the</strong> rule <strong>of</strong> law and humanrights. This was seen as critical for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Maldives</strong> police to deal effectively with modern-day securitychallenges and develop into an organisation that <strong>the</strong> public could trust and have confidence in.A new approach to policing was developed in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> with greater commitment to service,accountability and transparency.
