HERE is no item of billiard
table equipment
that is of greater importance
than the billiard cues.
Room. keepers are just
beginning to realize the fact
that a well balanced, perfect taper, hand-made
billiard cue is absolutely essential to the games
of billiards or pool.
The cheap turning-lathe product which has
the same care devoted to it as is given to the
turning of a broom handle, no more and no
less, is being rapidly discarded.
Room-keepers are learning from experience
that bargain - counter prices on cues is not a
good investment.
Every cue that we offer for sale or furnish
with our billiard and pool tables is produced
in our own factories and made by trades-union
mechanics who have been in our employ for
many years. These men have become experts
in this line of work. We employ no child or
female labor and have no piecework. Every
cue, from the plain No. 3 to the most elaborate,
is shaped and tapered entirely by hand.
The abominably cheap make of cues offered
by many billiard supply dealers who have no

factories, are produced by planing mill specialty
makers, who turn out billiard cues, broom
handles, base ball bats, golf sticks and jointed
fish poles with equal impartiality. It is with
them, only a question of quantity and price—
quality cuts no figure. The printer who gets
up the catalogue in which they are advertised
attends to the quality part of the job. That's
his business.
We don't make mop sticks! We don't make
curtain poles, broom handles or fishing rods!
We just make cues. That's why we know
how to make perfect cues.
Our cues are hand - made. Everyone of
them is shaped by hand to the graceful outlines
and perfect balance which the good billiard
player finds essential for effective work.
