N.Z. SPORTING CLAY NATIONALS and GRANDPRIXGreetings and Welcome all Shooters,This year’s Nationals and Grand Prix is being held in thebeautiful and rugged surrounds of Northburn Station, 4kilometres North of Cromwell on the Cromwell-TarrasHighway. Northburn is a working sheep station, vineyardand restaurant therefore there are some small butextremely important rules that we must all follow:SISCS* No smoking ‘whatsoever’ on the shooting range.* No shooting vests, guns, boots in the restaurantplease.* The Station will be working during the shoot, andmay require your patience if stock or staff is movingthru the area.This years event will be a little different to past shoots, in thenature of the Southern Lakes area being the adventurecapital of New Zealand, we want you to enjoy the region

with its world famous restaurants, vineyards, fishing,boating, sightseeing, cruises on the lake, we will guaranteesomething for everyone. We want you to make this anexperience, not just a shoot.For Nationals the plan is to shoot your 100 targets in onevisit. You will be shooting ‘old style’ FITASC style layouts andshould carry enough ammunition for your 4 rounds.There will be shelter and light refreshments, water (goldcoin donation) located at each area. You will be able toleave extra ammo and gear at that site. Once shootingstarts you will not be able to come back down to base orthe Carpark!There will be transport to the shooting areas, and it willleaving 20 minutes before your shooting start time. Noleniency will be given, and squad Ref’s will be instructed tostart on time with or without you. There will be no time toreshoot your targets later, and they will be scored LOST!Squads may start early if all are present and ready tocommence. Please shoot stands in correct sequence, 1 to4.This system will allow you to shoot, and then enjoy yourleisure time in the greater area; the practice field will beopen every day and is under the control of Ian Swale andDavid Reid.The Grand Prix will be back to normal rotations and wavesas we are all used to, shooting 75, 75, 50 targets per day.Please not there are different squads for each event.The referee’s have been picked for their experience, soPLEASE no “unsportsperson” like behavior, it will not betolerated. Referee’s are responsible for picking up andreturning score sheets to the office.SISCS

The North/South tournament will be shot on Saturday(18 th .) afternoon at the conclusion of the last wave and willbe shot on the ‘practice’ field just above the shoot base.Shoot offs will be held as soon as practically possible aftershooting finishes, again on the ‘practice field’. HOA 1st -3rd will be decided by shooting a full 25 target round.Places below 3rd will be decided with a count back.Shooter numbers are the same for both events.No Camo gear.All prizegivings will be conducted at the restaurant situatedbelow the car park to your right. Light refreshment will beserved courtesy of sponsors Ian Swale and Phil Brown.We will endeavor to have everyone off the Station by 7:00PM.Every shooter entering both events will receive 4“Northburn dollars” (1 event-- 2 vouchers) worth $10 each,these may be redeemed at the shoot venue (lunch),restaurant or combined together to buy wine.No EFTPOS will be available at the office. Cash andCheques will be acceptedShooters and partners are more than welcome to use therestaurant at their leisure, but it will also be open to thepublic.Falcon/Fiocchi ammunition will be on sale at the shoot.Target Products are backing this shoot with 30+ traps, cashand staff, and without this input the South Island SortingClay shooters would probably not be able to run this shoot.We are therefore stocking his ammunition exclusively.SISCSS.I.S.C.S.
