8More People and Projects in our NewsMartha O'Riley, Watervliet,MI, made this PrincessPrimrose Path quilt for herself!It's made with theMeadow Friends fabric line,and it’s beautiful!Tina Miltenberger, SouthBend, brought in her FIRSTquilt to show us! She didn’tpick out an easy one for afirst quilt. She did a wonderfuljob on it. The picture doesnot do it justice. The quilt isa gift for a lucky friend.Marcie Inman, South Bend,came by to show us herquilts. She and somefriends make quilts to donateto sick children at St. JosephMedical <strong>Center</strong> inMishawaka. they will lovethese!
9More People and Projects in our NewsTim Parr has found a creative way to relaxfrom a stressful job. This is his Wolf-Bearquilt. He purchased a Viking Sapphire to dothe quilting and now has a wonderful quilt,and pride and satisfaction along with hisrelaxation. We look forward to seeing morefrom him!Lauren Strach (from St.Joseph, MI) brought her projectin to find a backing andbinding. Her piece is called"In the Valley of the MountainKing". You may recognizeLauren and the piece fromour earlier post on Facebookin its beginning stages.Lauren is an award winningquilt artist, doing astoundingembellishment.Kathy Madison wrote us fromJersey City, NJ, telling us how sheloves our felt for dolls. I askedmore about it, and she sent thisphoto and this information:“I sculpt a face in clay, then makethe felt conform to the face. I spraythe completed face with acrylic so Ican paint the features.” I’m sureyou’ll agree from the photo, that sheis truly a doll artist!
